The EMAIL team is growing with six new members in the Fall, 2017. A new JDPE studdent, Liyuan He, will start in August, 2017. She will be investigating the similarities and discrepancies between two extremes ecosystems (Alaskan tundra and Californian chappal shrub ecosystems) in terms of biogeochemistry by using a data-model integration approach. In addition, two joint PhD students, funded by China Scholar Counil, will join our lab to work on modeling nitrogen cycle in natural wetland and semiarid grassland ecosystems. Three visiting scholars will join us to develop long-term collaboration; they will be working on carobn cycling in freshwater ecosystem, microbial enzyme activites, and machine learning application to ecological model, respectively. Welcome!
